The P&P standard: renovations that go further than simply “doing the job”

In a recent Property Week editorial Gabriela Hersham, chief exec of shared office provider Huckletree, argued that ‘investors, developers and landlords would be wise to recognise occupiers now expect more’.
Higher expectations are as true for Industrial ‘sheds’ as they are for offices. In our experience, occupiers will no longer accept ‘the least worst’ – the leaky roof, the dirty floor and the unkept welfare facilities.
We aim to provide our tenants with the best available unit in their location of choice. We renovate to our standard, not to what we think will simply ‘do the job’.
On a recent project, we installed new super bright LED lighting in the warehouse, cleaned up and sealed the floors, added energy efficient lighting in the office space, improved the EPC rating (on a building already kitted out with solar panels), redecorated and thoroughly cleaned the building inside and out until it shone like new.
